Hello people! Today, 9 years ago, I stopped using my own name on my YouTube channel in favor of a more creative name - MarkusTegelane (a.k.a. TheMarkusGuy). The name itself had existed for at least a month, but outside of Google Play Games profile, I didn't use it.

I am officially announcing that the MarkusTegelane channel will go into frozen status. Which channels are affected? MarkusTegelane MarkusTegelane+ MarkusTegelane++ MarkusTegelane Community (Discord server) Why am I doing this? In recent years, the technical execution process for creating MarkusTegelane videos has become increasingly ambitious, and this has caused a significant drop in the frequency of posting videos (in addition to external factors). Not to mention that some of the newer videos are of variable quality, as I want to stick to at least 1 video per month and sometimes I just have to make compromises to get a video out. Behind the scenes, things have also been very chaotic , including a non-refined editing process, constant style changes, difficulty finding good video ideas that would appeal to MarkusTegelane channel audience, and other things I don't want to mention here. This is why I decided to set all of my MarkusTegelane channels to frozen state....

Since I changed the URLs for my blogs, you were not able to see the new posts with your RSS client (older posts from 2024 and earlier were still visible). Now this issue has been resolved! If you have been following my YT channel for a long time, you may have noticed that the frequency of me posting videos has dropped significantly compared to, for example, 2015-2017, when you could see videos every week or every other week, and I was also relatively active on my channel blog. However, since 2018, my channel activity has decreased significantly. Why so?   A little history 2013-2017 was a "transition period" in MarkusTegelane's history. More precisely, the transition from the classic (a.k.a. Ert) era to the MarkusTegelane era. In 2013-2014, I had many videos that I could have posted, but since we only had one shared 3G USB modem stick in our family, posting videos frequently was simply not technically possible. That changed in February 2015, when I first got access to a broadband connection with a WiFi router (for those who don't know, broadband is much faster than mobile internet).
